Our Story

Why we
built this.

We didn't start Valemont to sell AI. We started it because we kept seeing the same thing happen to good businesses — and it bothered us enough to do something about it.

The Problem

The AI market is noisy. And the noise is expensive.

Between 2023 and 2025, the number of AI tools marketed to small and medium businesses grew from dozens to thousands. Every week brought a new voice agent, a new chatbot platform, a new automation suite — all claiming to transform your operations.

Most of them worked, technically. The problem was fit. A tool that's perfect for a 200-person logistics company is often useless for a 12-person dental clinic. And nobody in the sales process was incentivised to tell you that.

When thousands of AI companies are all competing for your attention, choosing one becomes its own full-time job. And even after you choose, there's no way to know whether it was really the best option for your specific situation — or just the one you happened to find first. That doubt is expensive, and it compounds over time.

"The tool wasn't wrong. The recommendation was."

So we do the research. We go through the market, identify the three to five most suitable options for each client's specific case, and present them with a clear rationale. The client makes the final call on who to work with — always. We don't choose for them. We just make sure that when they decide, they're deciding between the right options.

We saw businesses invest €20,000 in AI solutions they ended up abandoning. We saw founders sign contracts without understanding their obligations under data protection law — let alone the EU AI Act that was coming. We saw suppliers disappear after implementation and owners left with no recourse.

The issue wasn't technology. European SMEs aren't behind on innovation — they're time-poor and appropriately sceptical of vendor promises. What they lacked was someone in their corner who had no product to sell.

That's what we decided to become. Not a technology company. Not a reseller. A consultancy that earns its reputation by giving honest advice — even when that advice is "not yet" or "not this one."

Valemont Partners is independent because it has to be. The moment we take equity in a supplier, the advice stops being trustworthy. We don't. We won't.

The Team

Two founders. One principle.

Pablo Galán
Pablo Galán
Co-founder · Madrid

Pablo leads the technical side of Valemont — vetting suppliers, stress-testing their claims, and translating AI jargon into plain business language. He brings an engineer's scepticism to every recommendation.

Théo Roy
Théo Roy
Co-founder · Paris

Théo leads client relationships and the French market. He brings fluency in both enterprise sales and SME culture — and a healthy scepticism of any pitch that sounds too good to be true.

Our Principles

How we work.

01

Independent.

We sell no AI of our own. Our only loyalty is to your fit.

02

Compliant.

EU AI Act & CSRD-aligned from day one. Every match checked against the August 2026 enforcement framework.

03

Curated.

Five suppliers reviewed for every one we recommend. Quality over volume, always.

04

Custom-fit.

Your sector, your size, your data sensitivity. That’s the brief, every time.
